At Skateboardin.com, we’re always interested in hearing from skateboarders who continue to skate, progress, and enjoy the sport well into adulthood. Recently, we heard from Erick Melino, a 33 year old skateboarder from Brazil who has been skating for an impressive 22 years.
Erick reached out to share his latest independent skateboarding video part, appropriately titled “30+.” The bowl and park video features footage filmed in Brazil over the past few years, beginning when Erick turned 30 and continuing through today.
But after learning a little more about Erick, we discovered there’s more to his story than just a new video part. He continues to compete, has earned some impressive results in Brazil’s Master skateboarding divisions, and is also involved in teaching skateboarding in his local community.
For anyone who thinks skateboarding starts slowing down once you hit 30, Erick’s story and his new “30+” video are a good reminder that there’s still plenty of skating ahead.
Who Is Erick Melino?
Erick Melino is a 33-year-old skateboarder from Peruíbe, São Paulo, Brazil, with more than two decades of experience on a skateboard. Having skated for 22 years, Erick first stepped on a board at around 11 years old and has continued skating ever since.
Today, much of Erick’s skating focuses on bowls, parks, and transition skating, and turning 30 certainly hasn’t slowed him down. Along with continuing to skate and film regularly, Erick has also competed in Brazil’s Master skateboarding divisions with some impressive results.
In 2025, Erick was recognized as the São Paulo State Champion in Men’s Master Skate Park. He also finished second in the Master division at the Old School Skate Fest, part of the Brazilian Skate Bowl Circuit.
Beyond competing and filming, Erick has also been involved in teaching skateboarding in his hometown of Peruíbe, helping introduce and encourage other skaters through the local skateboarding community.
At 33, Erick is still skating, competing, filming, and finding new ways to be involved with the sport he’s been a part of for most of his life.
Erick Melino’s “30+” Video Part
Erick’s latest independent video part, “30+,” brings together several years of bowl, park, and transition skating filmed in Brazil. The idea behind the name is simple — all of the footage was filmed after Erick turned 30, continuing through his early 30s.
For Erick, the video is also a look at what skateboarding can still be like after reaching an age when many skaters begin wondering whether they should slow down or stop altogether. Instead, he continues to skate hard, push himself, and enjoy the same sport he started more than two decades ago.

Skateboarding Doesn’t Stop at 30
